The default font you get in Windows 10 is “Segoe UI”. Given that this has been the default font since many older versions of Windows, I wouldn’t be surprised if you’re already bored. If you want to change this, doing so via the Registry Editor is the way to go. To find out how, read the steps outlined below:

  • Hungry start menu and call “Font”. you will see “Control panel” folder named “Fonts” as suggestion. Click on it to open.
  • This opens the Fonts folder. Find the font you want to use here and be careful how it’s spelled because this is very important.

  • Now Save the Notepad file by pressing Ctrl + S on your keyboard. In the Save As window, Change “Save as type” to “All Files”.

Save as

  • Next, name the file to anything you want and save later. Important to remember here Save with the extension “.reg”. I named it “ChangeFont.reg”.

Save As Extension

  • Now double click on this saved file and Click “Yes” when confirmation is requested.

Approve

  • You should now see a message that the registry entry has been successfully added. Click “OK” to finish.
