We tend to take a lot of screenshots as it’s a pretty handy way to share stuff from your computer or smartphone. The screenshot feature is available on almost all operating system platforms these days, and Windows is no exception. Win+PrtScn, Alt+PrtScn etc. There are various native commands that allow you to easily take screenshots on a computer, such as If you’re new to Windows, you must have wondered where the screenshots go? Well, screenshots taken in Windows are saved in the obvious location, the Pictures folder, but if you don’t want to clutter the Pictures folder with screenshots.

The good news is that you can change the screenshot folder quite easily in Windows 10, 8.1 or 8. So without further ado, Here are the steps to change the screenshot location in Windows 10:

note: We used this method on a Windows 10 PC, but it should work fine on systems running Windows 8 and 8.1.

one. First, just create folder in the location where you want to save your screenshots in the future.

2. Next, go to: Pictures folder on your PC andScreenshots” file. Right click on an empty space here and select “Properties“.

3. Inside “Screenshot PropertiesIn the ” dialog box, “Location” tab. Here, “Movement” button.

4. At that time, select the folder you created Click “OK” when done to save your screenshots.

5. Once done, Windows will prompt you to move files from the old screenshots folder to the new one. Click “Yes” if you want older screenshots.

6. Now the screenshots you took will be saved to the new screenshot location you just set up. You can always set it to the default location via “.Restore Defaults” choice.
