Connected objects have been in vogue for some time, but have yet to capture the imagination of the general public, which has largely abandoned the virtues of these new high-tech devices.
However, one object in particular was noticed in 2016: Snapchat Spectacles, connected glasses that allow anyone to easily capture a video with the push of a button on the side of the glasses before posting them on Snapchat.

However, their distribution was limited for months, with the manufacturer choosing to offer them at distributors and temporary stores across America. Fortunately, these are now available in France!
You can get them directly from the official website of the brand or try the experience of the distributor. Indeed, a show vendor was set up in the port of Suffren, behind the Eiffel Tower in Paris. These are available in 3 different colors (coral, turquoise, black) and will cost you 149.99€.
The peculiarity of this glasses is that it shoots videos in a round format, similar to the sight of the human eye. Therefore, watching them vertically or horizontally on a smartphone does not change the experience as these videos are circular.
Despite the large number of copies, Snapchat confirms that it stays on the trends with these glasses. But will that be enough? While Snap Inc’s results are particularly bad, nothing is certain for the service’s future. But perhaps this breakthrough in the connected object can make it breathe.
