How to Change Galaxy S8 Lock Screen and Wallpaper

Lock screen Wallpaper

If you didn’t notice during our instructions above, adding a wallpaper to the lock screen is just as easy. Follow the same steps above for the lock screen. The phone will ask you when you find the picture you want to use and press the apply button. Do you want to apply this to the home screen, the lock screen, or both?

Choose both if you want only one image, or add a different image for each area on the device. I have a Packers logo on my lock screen and a beautiful wallpaper everywhere else. Do whatever you want.

Samsung Theme Store

Those who go to Settings > Wallpaper & Themes can find tons of themes, wallpapers, live wallpapers, custom icons, and more. But the steps are not so clear. Basically, select anything you want here, download it and hit the apply button.

When you first open the theme store, it will default to wallpapers. There are tons of recommendations and popular options to choose from. The first square at the top of the page is your “Gallery,” where you can choose to use your own photos instead of those listed.

We recommend browsing the gallery as there are tons of great images and options to choose from. Once you find a good one, just download it and hit the apply button. The app will let owners choose whether to go to the lock screen or home screen background as expected.
