3. Now, tap on “Set Password” and create a password for two-step verification in Telegram. On the next page, you need to re-enter the password. Be sure remember this password or better yet, write it down and store it in a safe place.

4. After that you can: give a hint If you forget the password or you can skip this part immediately.

5. Then it will ask you to enter a recovery email for scenarios where you forgot the two-step verification password. You can also skip this part if you are not comfortable splitting your email into Telegram. But for general users I recommend providing an email for recoveryif things go south in the future.

6. Now, open your email client and enter confirmation code. This is done to verify your recovery email address.

7. Finally, you have turned on two-step verification in Telegram. Now, if you log into your Telegram account on any new deviceIt will ask for your two-step verification password along with a one-time code (SMS) sent to your smartphone.
