Microsoft Office Suite is the world’s most popular productivity suite. Among them, Microsoft Word is probably the most used office applications for the majority. And there are multiple factors for that. The software is full of features, productivity tasks, reports, resumes, etc. It offers hundreds of templates to create. Available on all platforms. On top of that, you can customize the Word document with dozens of fonts. If that’s not enough for you, you can download fonts, install them in Office apps, and set them as defaults in software like Microsoft Word.
Using a custom font can increase the attractiveness of the document. People also prefer custom fonts when some of their favorite fonts are missing from the Microsoft Word font gallery. The good news is that there are several ways to download them from the Microsoft Store and from the web.
In this post, we will cover how to download custom fonts for Microsoft Word, install it and set it as the default font in software. Lets start.

As mentioned earlier, there are several easy ways to download new fonts in Windows 10. Follow the steps below.
Stage 1: Press the Windows button, search for Settings and dive into the Windows Settings menu.

Stage 3: Here you will find the list of available fonts along with the option Get more fonts from Microsoft Store.
Step 4: Microsoft Store has a fine collection of free and paid fonts. Choose the one you like and select the ‘Get’ button.
For example, in the screenshot above, I have installed Convection fonts originally designed for the Microsoft Xbox entertainment system. I have an Xbox in the environment so the fonts will bring uniformity across Microsoft services for me.
