Xbox: November 2022 update strengthens Discord integration

After a feature-rich October update, it’s now the November 2022 release to bring its fair share of new features. These include several new Insider Program features reaching all consoles, including a new “Captures” app and full Discord voice chat integration on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.

Discord is now available on your Xbox without a smartphone

The main innovation of the update is the enhanced integration of Discord, now works without a smartphone. Users can now easily connect to Discord audio channels directly from the interface of the Xbox One console and Xbox Series X/S.

• Click on Groups & Chat and select Discord
• Browse available Discord servers to find the audio channel you want to join

Noise Cancellation is now also coming to Discord Voice, thanks to a new update after it hits Xbox Groups. You can enable the feature to block background sounds that may interfere with your Discord voice call.like a dog barking or banging your controller against your wall.

Discord works with Krisp, a noise canceling app to reduce outside noise during calls. You can disable noise canceling on Xbox in the options section of the Discord calls UI.
