Where to find Golden Seeds in Elden Ring?

Finding Elden Ring Golden Seeds locations is incredibly important as they increase your Sacred Crimson and Serulean Tear Bottles. So the more you find, the more you can restore your health and magic. In a game where survival is key, healing is obviously an extremely vital skill to maximize.

However, Golden Seeds are scattered all over the map and become rarer as you progress. Eventually, you’ll need more to level up your flasks as well. Initially one will do the job, but after using a few you will need two, three and more.

So while it’s important to find any in the beginning, the later stages will eventually see that you should try to find as many as possible just for an upgrade. There are loads of Golden Seeds though, and you don’t have to find them all to maximize your Bottles, which makes your life a little easier. That’s why we’re going to cover the easy and obvious Golden Seeds locations that you can quickly find on Elden Ring.

Elden Ring Golden Seeds locations

We’ve found these 17 Elden Ring Gold Seed locations from all over the Lands in Between, which will grant you a total of 20 Golden Seeds – enough for a total of 12 Holy Vials to be used. It’s obviously not every Golden Seed in the Elden Ring, so you’ll no doubt find a few more unmarked ones here as you play. Some you will reach through natural story progression, but you can also access certain areas by simply exploring in your own time. Therefore, they do not need to be found in the order in which they are listed:

1. Storm Hill – Unless you chose to start with a Golden Seed, this will probably be the first thing all players find. As you pass through the giant gate next to the Gatefront Ruins Site of Grace, follow the path up the hill and the golden sapling will be on the right.
2. Storm Hill Hut – Talk to Roderika in the cabin and consume her dialogue to begin her quest. Go to Stormveil Castle and find the Chrysalids’ Memento item – it is on a pile of corpses in a room near the Grafted Scion. Return to Roderika and give her the souvenir, then visit her at the Roundtable. He will give you a Golden Seed for your efforts.
3. Storm Veil Castle – A Golden Seed can be found in the courtyard of the castle with a giant Troll nearby.

5. Fort Haight – There will be a small golden sapling just outside the castle.
6. Near Morne Castle – This Golden Seed can be found around some rocks just north of Morne Castle. You will find this castle in the Weeping Peninsula area of ​​the map, south of West Limgrave where you started the game.
7. caelid – On the main road east of the Dragon Communion Cathedral.
8. animal sanctuary – On the main road leading to the sanctuary at the northernmost point of Caelid.
9. Academy Gate Town – You can find a Golden Seed in the ruins of the sunken Academy Gate Town near Raya Lucaria Academy.
10. Raya Lucaria Academy – There are two Golden Seeds in the Academy. One can be found after meeting and helping Yura. The other can be found in the courtyard after encountering a wolf boss.
11. Mountain Pass Covered Village – To the north of the academy there is a flooded ravine with a village at the end. On a small island in the water not far from the village, you will find a Golden Seed.
12. Altus Plateau – Just north of the Grace Atlus Highway Interchange Area where the road forks.
13. Leyndell Outer Wall, main entrance – Once you cross the outer wall into Leyndell after going the main road, fighting or riding two Tree Sentry, there will be a Grace Zone with a sapling nearby. There are two Golden Seeds in this sapling, don’t miss it.
14. Leyndell Outer Wall, close to the inner wall – Follow the paved path through the main entrance and previous Golden Seeds to find another golden sapling near the Leyndell Inner Wall. This sapling also contains two Golden Seeds!
15. Altus Plateau, Little Erdtree – A golden sapling can be found in this area to the north-northwest of Minor Erdtree.
16. Gelmir Mountain, Seethewater River – You can find a Golden Seed north of the Seethewater River Grace Zone. Look northwest of Wyndham Ruins or near Gelmir Hero’s Tomb.
17. Gelmir Mountain near Volcano Manor – To the northwest of Volcano Manor is a golden sapling with Golden Seeds.

How to upgrade your Bottles and use Gold Seeds in Elden Ring

Elden Ring Gold Seeds are a type of consumable that can be found throughout the game. They appear at the bases of small golden tree saplings resembling Erdtree albeit in tiny form. After collecting one or more Golden Seeds, you must go to the nearest Blessing Site, rest and select the ‘Bottles’ option from the menu. Now select ‘Add charge to bottle’ and use any of your Golden Seeds to give yourself extra sips of your Sacred Bottle.

And yes – this is a permanent upgrade which explains why Golden Seeds are so valuable. Once you have enough of the upgrades, finding a Grace Site to use them should be a real priority, because the next time you encounter it, that extra Teardrop may be what helps you live or die.

How many Golden Seeds do you need to fully upgrade your bottles?

You’ll need to find a total of 30 Golden Seeds to fully upgrade your Sacred Vials in Elden Ring, but that doesn’t mean you’ll get a total of 30 uses per checkpoint. As you upgrade more and more this way, you’ll need more Gold Seeds for every few additional bottles you unlock. At first, you’ll find that an Elden Ring Golden Seed always uses your Holy Vial an extra time, but soon you’ll need multiple seeds for each extra bottle use:

• 1 Golden Seed for your 5th and 6th Holy Vial uses each
• 2 Golden Seeds each for your 7th and 8th Holy Vial uses
• 3 Golden Seeds for your 9th and 10th Holy Vial uses each
• 4 Golden Seeds each for your 11th and 12th Holy Vial uses
• 5 Golden Seeds each for your 13th and 14th Holy Vial uses

This ends when your Sacred Vials reach a total of 14 uses. There are actually over 30 Gold Seeds in Elden Ring, but even if you find extras, the game won’t let you use them.

Note that the Sacred Flask in Elden Ring has health and magic restoring abilities; so you might want to reallocate your bottle uses between healing Crimson and magic restoring Cerulean to better suit your playstyle as you get more of them. Also note that Elden Ring Golden Seeds do not empower your bottles to enhance their restorative abilities – you will need to find Sacred Tears for this. You should also check out some Elden Ring Rune farming locations to increase your HP and FP respectively so you don’t collect more points on your Vigor or Mind Attributes.

While you may find a few Golden Seeds in the first few hours, you can also start with the Golden Seed as one of the Elden Ring Memories when creating your character.
