The feat was accomplished by Manawyrn and tSYS, two talented modders who turned a TP-Link TL-WDRR4900 into a small PC capable of running games and software.

The TP-Link TL-WDRR4900, launched in 2013, has a 32-bit PowerPC e500v2 processor, which, despite being designed to be an internet router, has enough power to run games older.

Due to the absence of a graphics card, modders needed to create and add a custom mini PCIe breakout, connecting it to the router.

After a lot of dedication and hard work, the duo finally achieved their goal: playing ‘GTA: Vice City’ on a router that is over a decade old.
An altered version of the game’s source code and an external GPU were used to achieve the feat.
