The best Elden Ring Rune cultivation locations and techniques for fast leveling up

Finding out where the best Elden Ring Rune farming locations are will change your game, with 40,000 Runes every two or three minutes you can level up much faster and speed up your progress in the Elden Ring. If you don’t want to take advantage of such an obvious increase, there are ways to simply increase your overall earnings. The choice is yours – create a space for a quick and easy reward or simply step things up in general. Or both!

Best Elden Ring Rune farming place

The absolute best Elden ring rune spawner will gain a minimum of 40,000 Runes in a few minutes, more if you have the Golden Scarab listed below. It takes some effort to get there, but once you complete the steps and reach the relevant Grace Site, you can pay 40K over and over in minutes. The enemies you find are worth 2000K each and are mostly passive, allowing you to kill them one by one to collect the rewards. There are four guards to worry about but you can deal with them one by one with a small problem.

You’ll need to complete the Elden Ring Varre questline to unlock this tricky farming spot, but it’s worth it. You can follow the link for a detailed breakdown, but when you do, you’ll get the Pureblood Knight’s medal.

Use the Thoroughbred Knight medal in your inventory and it will take you to an underground area called Mohgwhyn Palace (don’t worry about anything Varre says, you can use the medal as many times as you want). To get to the farmland you will have to speed up to a certain point – do not be tempted to stop as this is a dangerous area and you will most likely die if you stop. Mark this area on the map below, invoke Torrent and gallop for all your worth:

You’ll head east through a forest and through a southbound canyon that looks like a river of blood. Follow the uphill trail, past the many figures in rags sitting on the ground, and you should reach a Grace Estate. Activate, rest and you will be ready to start farming.

On the cliff leading to the Realm of Grace, you’ll find a group of sleeping Albinauriks worth 2000 Rune each. They don’t react until you attack them, and even then only the person you hit wakes up. There are four guards who will come at you when you approach, but their attack is slow and easy to evade, and they can be taken away one at a time to deal with. If you’re at a very low level, start with backstabs to maximize your damage, but you can hack as you level up. Regardless of your level, you will be able to earn 40,000 runes from this area every 2-3 minutes, then rest on the Grace Site to reset it.

The best places to farm in the Elden Ring will vary depending on where you are – as you level up, the amount of Rune you need to reach the next level increases, each time a larger gap. But luckily as you progress through the game, the enemies get tougher and drop more Runes to use – so we’ve broken down the game into four really good farming locations for players at different points in the game, shown in the map above. and discussed in more detail below.

Trolls in Stormgate (early game farming): It’s pretty simple, but a bit risky for new players. The huge, hairy trolls on the cliffs north of Stormgate each drop around 1000 Runes when killed, and are also very slow when hit hard. If you can separate them and kill them one by one, you can pretty effectively create a good pool of Runes to spend preparing for bosses like Margit and Godrick.
Battle for Castle Redmane (early/mid-game farming): The easiest farming place on this list is in South Caelid there is a huge castle called Redmane Castle. You actually don’t need to go inside – there are fire-wielding knights and monstrous dogs in front of the castle, and you can watch them kill each other as they automatically get Runes. Head to the impassable Greatbridge Site of Grace, then climb the hill and watch them fight. Then you can always ride and slaughter the weaker survivors, earning you roughly 2000-3000 Runes with very little effort.
Party crashes Windmill Village (mid-/end-game farming): That’s a good thing: Head to the northern shoreline of the Altus Plateau and you’ll find Windmill Village, a surreal, Midsommar-esque village called Dominula. It’s full of dancing natives who only attack and drop loads of Runes when you get too close. There’s a boss at the top called the Godskin Apostle, but clearing the natives before you even mess with him will get you around 7000 Runes in just a few minutes. Then quickly revive them and start over!
Backstabbing in Haligtree (late game farming): Ok, we haven’t updated our map model yet, but the area is still correct and the principle is still very solid. If you’ve unlocked the optional Haligtree field, you know it’s mostly pretty tough. However, if you go halfway to the Grace Prayer Room Site, then head north, you can run down the railings, backstab many sea-facing enemies, or slash down knights and infantry, each fairly easily. each of these drops 2000-3000 Rune. Some will blow themselves up trying to stop you, meaning a few minutes can earn you Rune 40000 or more. Simply fight your way down and return to the Prayer Room when you feel your Runes are at risk (we recommend before fighting two Cleanrot Knights or Erdtree Avatars, depending on the path you take).

In general, it’s always good to increase your Runes as you play, because they are the lifeblood of everything. Even if you don’t farm, there is a lot you can do to increase your Runic income overall, and usually keep that in mind.

Find the Golden Scarab! This talisman grants a permanent boost to any Runes you gain while wearing it. It’s an essential piece of equipment, but don’t worry – we’ll show you on our dedicated page how to get the Elden Ring Golden Scarab and beat the boss battle protecting it.
Smash the glowing white skulls you see around the landscape. There’s a small amount of consumable Golden Rune items in them, and even though they’re only 200 each, you’ll eventually have dozens of inventory.
Watch out for the Gold Leaves! A rare, random weather event can sometimes have Golden Leaves falling like rain from the sky (and it only happens at night, as far as we know). While this is happening, you will receive a small increase of approximately 5% on all Runes you earn. This is one of many Elden Ring secrets. you may not know but you can check it out here
The Golden Pickled Chicken Leg is a very rare in-game consumable that increases your Rune income for a short time when used. Save these for big fights where you think you have a chance to win.
As with the Great Impassable Bridge, you will occasionally come across areas where enemies are fighting each other. This is always your chance to sit back and let them do the work for you.
If you want a large pile of Rune quickly, try looking for bosses that you forgot earlier in the game and are now over-leveled. Leave a call sign and wait for people to call you. The rewards won’t be as big as when you beat them on your own, but it’s still a decent payout.
Go to a merchant and sell anything you don’t need. We don’t recommend getting rid of unique items, but equipment dropped by infantry or excess consumables gained from crafting is a safe bet if you’re not using them.
If you see an enemy with glowing golden eyes, he’s a special type of enemy that won’t be any tougher, but will still drop more Runes when killed. Download them first!
