Luke Robert, voice actor who voices the character James Sunderland in the remake of “Silent Hill 2“, may have given a special tip to fans of the plot: the release date of the long-awaited game.
Apparently, the game’s production is coming to an end. However, fans will still have to wait a while for the release. However, Roberts recently let slip that gamers’ anticipation will probably last until early next year.
Although the date is still far away, the speech excited fans, after all, until now, everyone was in the dark regarding the release of the remake.
A few weeks ago, a possible date was leaked: September 29th. However, the information came from a not very reliable portal and, therefore, the news did not encourage anyone. Unlike what happened, of course, with the statement coming from Roberts himself.
The news was released by a fan on the video game forum “ResetEra”. A user allegedly sent a message on the game’s direct message board. Instagram from Robert, asking when the release of “silent Hill“Surprisingly, he was answered: “Early next year, I believe.”
If the message is, in fact, real, gamers will probably believe the actor, after all, he must know more about the production than the various rumors circulating around.

Date may make sense
Although the possible release date is further away than fans expected, it makes perfect sense for the release of game be next year.
After all, the production’s first trailer was only released in October 2022 and, since then, there has been no marketing action involving the game.
In this sense, many believe that, if the launch were scheduled for 2023, a super marketing campaign would most likely already be underway.
A smaller portion of fans, however, cling to the hope that the game will be released this year, but the approach to promotion is different and, therefore, nothing has been announced yet.
Horror remakes are on the rise
Fans who are waiting for “Silent Hill 2” probably enjoy other horror remakes. And for them, the last few years have been great, after all, titles in this sector are being very well received, which starts a trend in the film industry.
This is what happened, for example, with the iconic franchise “resident Evil“. Therefore, fans are hopeful that Konami and Bloober Team, responsible for “Silent Hill”, can recreate that same success.
Whether or not the game will be released this year, we don’t know. What we can certainly predict is the success of “Silent Hill”, after all, fans are very excited about the new hype of the franchise and are eagerly awaiting it.
