PS5 download history is somewhat vague in the PlayStation 5 UI, and downloading games, updates and patches is something you’ll want to know about! It is no longer kept in the notifications section of the UI, it only gets there when the actual download is complete, and there is no information on how long it will take or how far it has progressed. How to access your PS5 download history
To access your PS5 download history, tap the PS button at any time to view the Control Center icon row at the bottom of the screen. Highlight Downloads/Installs, which is the down-pointing arrow, then press the X button to show the download in progress. Here you can press Options to quickly pause all downloads/uploads; this may help if you are having network connection quality issues with online games or press X again to go to your full PS5 download history.
On the Downloads/Uploads screen, you can see all your ongoing and pending downloads and uploads. Unlike the PS4, your PS5 only actively downloads one game or app at a time, but you can select Start Download/Copy by highlighting an item in your PS5 download history and then pressing X and prioritize it over other downloads. or if no longer needed, Cancel and delete completely.
