Pokemon Go Deed Lele Raid guide counters and best move sets

You will need these Pokemon Go Tapu Lele Raid guide counters, now the island guardian makes his debut in five-star Raids. It kicks off with the Lush Jungle event starting Tuesday, March 22, where Pokemon Go trainers will have until Tuesday, April 5 to fight and catch as many Deed Leles as possible.

Pokemon Go trainers have already got their hands on Pokemon Go Tapu Koko Raid counters, one of the four island guardians of the Alola region, but Tapu Lele’s power and typing will make it difficult to take it down without accurate counters. Fortunately, we’ve put together this handy guide to give trainers choices about which Pokemon to use in battle and what to expect from Tapu Lele when battling him.

Pokemon Go Deed Lele Counters

Deed Lele is a Fairy and Psychic-type Legendary who is weak against Steel, Poison, and Ghost-type attacks. Each of these genres has Mega options, but the two may not be the best.

Mega Gengar can deal tons of damage to Tapu Lele on either the Ghost or Poison side, but his own spell weakens him against Tapu Lele’s many attacks. The same goes for Mega Beedrill, which can deal a lot of Poison-type damage but is weak against Psychic-type attacks. Mega Venusaur is another Venom type Mega Evolution that can boost your team’s moves, but she has no Venom type Quick Attack and is also weak against Psychic type moves.

And then there is the Mega Steelix, which can fasten the Steel type suit. Tapu can resist most of Lele’s moves and deal super-effective damage. Unfortunately, there’s only been one Mega Steelix run in Mega Raids so far in Pokemon Go, so many trainers may not have enough Mega Energy to truly perform the evolution. If you’re one of those trainers who have had enough, this might be the time to do it.

As for non-mega options, Metagross is a great option to deal massive damage. The same goes for Drapion and Chandelure, whose secondary types can resist or neutralize certain attacks from Tapu Lele.

Deed Lele Moveset

Tapu Lele’s move set makes use of the Psychic and Fairy spelling. Confusion and Confusion are Quick Attack options that give him a Psychic and Ghost-type move. Steel types will resist Confusion, but will damage Astonish Ghost types and even Metagross, so trainers will need to be careful.

As for his Charged Attacks, Psychock and Future Sight are Psychic moves that will deal super-effective damage to Poison types like Mega Beedrill and Mega Gengar. Moonblast is Tapu Lele’s only Fairy-type attack and deals super-effective damage against all Dragon types the trainers want to bring, like Giratina.

Focus Blast is a Martial-type attack that deals super-effective damage against Steel types like Mega Steelix and Excadrill. However, Metagross’s Psychic secondary typing will neutralize this attack.

Drapion’s Poison and Dark spell makes him neutral to all his moves except for Astonish, which Tapu Lele resists.
