Multiversus rested XP is a mechanic that gives players more experience to play regular matches every day rather than constantly playing in one go. The idea is that the rested XP gives players an experience bonus that expires over time and usage before resetting completely when you log out. And the longer you’re out of the game, the more the Rested XP bonus recharges.
That’s a pretty significant bonus too, it can do as much as players gain or lose to double the XP they earn in matches, so it’s worth figuring out what it’s doing. Below we’ll explain all the details of Multiversus rested XP and how you can use it to your advantage to level up fast.
Rested XP in Multiversus and how it works

Multiversus rested XP acts as a kind of temporary bonus to Battle Pass progression for experience reset at the start of each day. You can actually see the bonus represented by a spinning pink bar below the main “play” option in the main menu.
While the bar is still at least partially full, players get an increase in XP, but as more matches are played, the bar decreases with each completed game, whether the teams, FFA or MultiVersus 1v1. When the bar is completely empty, there is no longer a rested XP bonus.
However, that doesn’t mean you don’t gain experience for barless player matches! Rested XP just adds extra, rather than reducing the amount you’re gaining. When the bar is full you will effectively have x2 bonus and when empty you will revert to x1 standard.
If the bar runs out, the only way to get it back is to wait until tomorrow. Rested XP is a mechanic designed to encourage players to come back every day instead of obsessively playing for infrequent hours. Note that rested XP does nothing for the coins you earn, but XP will help you earn lots of rewards – assuming the Multiversus servers are online.
