After eight months of testing and listening to feedback from users of the “Xbox Insider” program, Microsoft has finally officially released the new home screen UI for Xbox Series S|X and One consoles.
The update brings a series of improvements and features that promise to make the player experience even more enjoyable and personalized. Check out the details below.
Customization and ease
According to Ivy Krislov, product manager for Xbox experiences, the new interface makes it easier to access the console’s main features, such as the Game Library, Microsoft Store, Xbox Game PassSearch and Settings. This is possible thanks to a quick access menu, located at the top of the home screen.
One of the most notable changes is the creation of more space for the player’s custom background.
Microsoft has redesigned the layout, placing recently played games, other content, and apps at the bottom of the screen, allowing the Background chosen by the user is more visible.

Additionally, the new platform also adds the option to change the background to match the game being featured in the recent games list. This integration between the background and the featured game provides a more immersive and aesthetically pleasing experience.
A discovery The game selection has also been improved, with personalized lists now available for each player. This means players will be able to discover new titles based on their interests and preferences.
Another highlight of the update is the ability to personalize the user experience, allowing players to pin their favorite games, groups and system features, such as Quick Resume, directly to the home screen. This makes it easier for each player to quickly access the games they use most.
The new interface also provides an easier way to keep up with what’s happening in the Xbox community through the “Friends & Community Updates” list, allowing players to stay up to date with their friends’ activities and achievements.
Finally, the Microsoft also emphasized the presence of media apps and content in the “Watch and Listen” section, allowing gamers to easily find and access entertainment apps available on Xbox.
