Microsoft is investing in new Xboxes to attract gamers
Introducing the discless Xbox Series the growing trend of digital game distribution and the growing popularity of subscription gaming services such as Xbox Game Pass. By removing the disk drive, Microsoft is not only reducing the overall cost of production, but also responding to the changing preferences of some modern gamers who no longer enjoy CDs.
