How to use Overwatch 2 Ramattra tips, tricks and abilities

To get the most out of the new Overwatch 2 Ramattra character, you’ll need a deep understanding of his survival skills. If you can master what they bring to the table, then you can succeed with one of the world’s smartest heroes. Overwatch 2 characters and roles offer.

Taking on the role of Ramattra also gives you the chance to replace one of Overwatch’s main foes. As the leader of the Null Sector, he is a ruthless leader of the Omnic race, and it’s a rage you can use with his unique playstyle.

With Overwatch 2 going 5v5 and cutting a tank into the lineup, Ramattra decided to fill both roles himself, as it comes in two different forms. It works quite differently from most other tanks as you control when to step in as a bulky monster or as a ranged poker, but choosing when to transform and when to stay in basic form will be the key to your success.

Here’s everything you need to know about playing Ramattra and bringing victory to you and your team in Overwatch 2.

Who is Ramattra voice actor?

Before we move on to how to make the most of Ramattra, let’s move on to one of the best things about playing it – the outstanding audio performance at its core. If that sounds familiar, you’ve probably heard of voice actor Ramon Tikaram’s work before.

Tikaram has appeared in over 100 movies, TV shows and games. Most players will probably know him as the fan-favorite Dragon Age: Inquisition friend Dorian Gray, but he’s also the voice of Aatrox in League of Legends and, most recently, Goddrick in Elden Ring.

Best Ramattra Strategy

The Ramattra is a somewhat versatile tank in Overwatch 2. While most others in the role are often trying to fit into a niche, he’s a character that tries to tackle various aspects of the game in one place. His entire flow is centered around his ability to transform into his Nemesis Form by transitioning from a poke character to a melee.

Ramattra should act as an anchor for his team and is particularly powerful at this point, especially when he upgrades his Nemesis Form, or better yet, his Ultimate. He is very good at holding it, although he can have a hard time taking up space at times. Ultimate Extermination grinds up teamfights and if you use it for a goal, teams have only two options – kill you or give up the area, otherwise you’ll get a win with area-effect damage.

One thing to be aware of is that you need to be really careful while the Nemesis Form is in its cooldown. He has a fragile 450 health when not in Nemesis Form, so be aware of what you’re up against. You’ll have to play very carefully around tanks with high damage like the Roadhog that can knock him out of position. To be successful with Ramattra you will need to be very aware of your surroundings and cooldowns, so you may need to be more careful than when playing with other tanks.

Ramattra Primary Fire – Void Accelerator

Description: A beam of bullet moving in a straight line

The Void Accelerator is Ramattra’s primary firearm and is quite a unique weapon in Overwatch. The tank will fire the beam from its staff in a straight line. For reference, it looks a bit like Symmetra’s beam, though less consistent. Good for dealing ranged poke damage, especially if you don’t have Nemesis Form or the other team is keeping their distance.

  • If you’re in Ramattra’s standard form, feel free to fire this up constantly. there is no real downside to downtime, especially since the reload is so short.
  • The beam can hit critical hits and no fall. This means that if you can see an enemy no matter how far away, you can deal damage. However, it is most effective at near mid-range, where you can track properly.

Ramattra Secondary Fire – Void Barrier

Description: Create a temporary barrier at a location

Ramattra’s Void Barrier is her primary defensive ability, especially outside of her Nemesis Form. All you have to do is light your alternate fire, put the barrier down and it will rise. The Barrier is very powerful and versatile, but only lasts four seconds, so it requires great timing and should be used largely to block specific abilities rather than general use.

  • Due to the short duration of the skill, use it only when you need it, especially since it has a long cooling time. Use it to provide an opening to make room for yourself.
  • At 1000 health, the shield will block many things. It’s not invincible, but there’s not much in the game to break it in four seconds, especially if it’s used to block a hero

Ramattra Skill 1 – Nemesis Form

Context: Ramattra transforms into a more cumbersome form that also changes his abilities to a melee primary fire and a block.

Ramattra’s signature Nemesis Form is the cornerstone of what makes it unique. When activated, it transforms from a poking ranged tank into a brawler, hulk-like figure. In this form, his primary fire is converted into ranged punches. On top of that, the Void Barrier is replaced by placing his arms in front of his face to block, reducing forward-facing damage by 75%. He also gains an additional 150 armor in this form, making him more adept at taking damage (though still easier to hit).

  • Ramattra’s Pummel punches deal piercing damage. They even smash through obstacles and hit anyone standing in front of or behind their range.
  • Ramattra’s block is not on cooldown, so you can use it whenever you need it, so don’t worry about storing it.
  • For a minor technique, it takes four punches to kill on 200hp targets. However, if you land a quick melee at the end of the third punch, you can reduce it to three.

Ramattra Ultimate – Destruction

Description: You are entering Nemesis Form and creating a damaging aura around you.

Rammatra’s Ultimate is a powerful tool to take up space and make your enemy give up their position. Although the damage to the aura is not huge, the longer the fight lasts, the greater the effect. This Ultimate is unique in that it can last indefinitely and has a very short timer, but pauses when connected to an enemy.

  • This is an excellent ability to finish a game. If used in overtime on a target the enemy needs to touch, it becomes very difficult for the enemy to win.
  • Add your Nemesis Form ability to your Ultimate. Wait until your Nemesis Form is finished, then Ultimate to stay in Nemesis Form for maximum time.
  • Don’t use Ultimate until you get into a fight. If the enemies are out of range or can run away from you, it will go out very quickly and be completely wasted.
