Seraph Key Codes are the main currency of Season 19 and thankfully they are really easy to obtain – more Seraph Key Codes than you know what to do as long as you spend some time doing regular playlist events like Strikes and Crucible matches in Destiny 2 every week. . Here’s how to get Seraph Key Codes in Seraph’s Destiny Season 2 and spend them to open Seraph Chests.
How to Get Seraph Keycodes in Destiny 2
Seraph Key Codes are a new currency for Destiny 2 Season 19 and Earned by completing any activity in Destiny 2 – Strikes, Crucible, Gambit, Patrol missions, Public Events, Lost Sectors, new Heist Battlegrounds missions and even Raid and Dungeon encounters to name a few.
However, ritual playlist event completions – namely Vanguard Ops, Crucible matches, and Gambit matches – grant a significant amount of Seraph Key Codes. We get 285 Key Codes at the end of each Vanguard Ops or Strike mission, but we’ve found that Heroic Public Event completions also reward a substantial amount. If you want to get Seraph Key Codes quickly, befriend some Guardian friends and speed up some Attacks or planet hopping for Heroic Public Events are your best options.
Note that you can only have 2,000 Seraph Keycodes at a time; so if you don’t regularly spend them on Seraph Chests in Heist Battlegrounds you’ll quickly reach the limit and excess Seraph Key Codes will be lost forever. However, these upgrades for the Exo Framework in HELM will increase your keycode capacity and give you new ways to collect them in Destiny 2:
- Seraph Key Code Capacity: Upgrades Seraph Keycodes to a maximum of 4,000 keycodes.
- Seraph Key Code Rewards: Adds a small Seraph Key Code reward to completed Exo Frame Rewards
- Seraph Keycode Warriors: causes defeated enemies to have a small chance to drop Seraph Keycodes.

Some challenges, victories and missions may require you to open Seraph Chests, which are bonus loot chests found at the end of the missions in the Heist Battlegrounds playlist. A Seraph Chest that costs 500 Seraph Key Code to open will fire an extra Season of the Seraph gear for the Destiny 2 Resonance Amp, some Seraphic Umbral Energy, and some Resonate Stems.
There is no limit to the number of Seraph Chests you can open in a given week as long as you have Seraph Key Codes that you can spend to open Seraph Chests. You can also improve the loot you get from Seraph Chests by unlocking certain upgrades for the Exo Frame:
- Heist Deep Sight: Guaranteed that the first Seraph Chest you open each week will give you an additional Seraph weapon with Deep Sight Resonance that you don’t currently have a weapon crafting setup for.
- Robbery High Status: It guarantees that the first Seraph Chest you open each week will give you an additional high-qualified Seraph armor.
- Serafik Deep Sight Bonus: Seraph Chests have a chance to drop an additional Seraph weapon with Deep Sight Resonance that you don’t currently craft.
