Genshin Impact 2.7 release date, awards and everything we know

Genshin Impact Version 2.7 has been delayed. It started with release date rumors, but now we know for sure. Fortunately, miHoYo will add a third tier to Genshin 2.6 (meaning more time to get Ayaka), and they’ll also be handing out some pretty generous compensation rewards.

If you want to know more about the Genshin Impact 2.7 release date, rewards or additional events, here’s everything we know.

Genshin Impact 2.7 release date and live stream

Both the Genshin Impact 2.7 update and the 2.7 livestream have been delayed. The delay has been confirmed by miHoYo, but they have yet to announce a new release date. There’s a good chance we’ll see a live stream (plus live stream codes for Primogems) later.

Rumors on the internet are that the new 2.7 release date is June 8, which will be four weeks after the initial release date of May 11. which is on June 7th.

Given the fact that MiHoYo is giving away weekly compensation rewards without mentioning a live release date yet, it’s best not to wait for Version 2.7 at least before the end of May.

Why was Genshin Impact 2.7 delayed?

In case you were wondering, miHoYo did not reveal the reason for the Genshin Impact 2.7 delay. However, this delay is generally believed to be due to COVID-19 restrictions in Shanghai. At the time of writing, a strict lockdown is still in effect.

Genshin Impact 2.7 awards compensation

Genshin Impact developer miHoYo has promised a weekly compensation reward. For each additional week it takes to upgrade to Version 2.7, players will receive the following items:

  • 400 Primogemes
  • Fragile Resin x1: Used to get double rewards from Dungeons and Ley Line challenges.
  • Hero’s Intelligence x7: character leveling material.
  • Mystical Enhancement Ore x16: weapon leveling material.
  • 120,000 Morea

You can collect rewards from the in-game mail system. However, only players who reach the Fifth Adventure Ranking by May 11 are eligible for rewards. If the time between the last compensation reward and version 2.7 is less than a week, the amount of the reward will be adjusted accordingly.

While you wait for version 2.7, you can attend two additional events as part of “Genshin Impact 2.6: Phase 3”. Existing banners will remain in place. Here is an overview:

  • Ayaka’s Wish banner and Weapon banner it will probably stay a little longer until the end of Version 2.6.
  • Same goes for the Test Run activity Includes Ayaka, Razor, Sayu, and Rosaria.
  • New event: Spices from the West. It is a cooking event that will take place from 14 May to 7 June.

What’s new in Genshin Impact 2.7?

We don’t know much about the upcoming Genshin Impact update, as there is no 2.7 livestream. However, the characters Kuki Shinobu and Yelan, which were announced a few weeks ago, are likely to be part of the new update.

Bottom line: We’re going to have to be patient in the coming weeks… But hey, those 400 Primogem weekly are pretty sweet, right?
