10 tips to get you started
Use these Disney Dreamlight Valley tips to help you get started and learn the basics. Things like knowing how to get the most out of the interface, getting information from the Collection menu or following quests, learning how to interact and hang out with villagers, and how to efficiently get certain resources.
All Disney characters
We currently have a list of all the Disney Dreamlight Valley characters you can find in the game. Each entry also has some information on how to get each character, but you’ll only get most of it as the story progresses. More characters will be added over time, so you’ll also find a list of upcoming Disney additions.
All recipes
There are 164 Disney Dreamlight Valley recipes to cook, so we’ve compiled this list with ingredient lists so you can create your own. Food is usually eaten to restore Energy, but it can also be sold for profit, so we have also created a list of the best recipes for replenishing energy and making money in the game.
How does energy work?
As you use your vehicles, you will gradually deplete your Disney Dreamlight Valley Energy bar, which will need to be refilled if you want to continue using your vehicles. Food and rest are your best options, but you can find all the details on how Energy works in our guide.
Earn Star Coins
Disney Dreamlight Valley Star Coins are the main currency in the game and you have to pay for everything from clothes to furniture to houses for other villagers. Earning can be slow in the early stages of the game, so our guide will help you learn how to make Star Coins quickly.
Get Dreamlight
Disney Dreamlight Valley Dreamlight is another currency you’ll find in the game and is used to unlock new areas, whether it’s the Valley Village biomes or the Realms in the Dream Castle. You’ll earn them gradually over time by completing many missions while doing anything in the Valley – think Nook Miles in Animal Crossing: New Horizons!
fast travel
Slowing down on foot can be really slow, so knowing how to unlock and use Disney Dreamlight Valley fast travel can help you save a lot of time. When you unlock a new village area, getting the Wishing Well up and running should be one of your first priorities!
Upgrade your home and warehouse
When you first start Disney Dreamlight Valley, storage space is scarce, and as you gather every resource you can, you’ll quickly fill up the storage chest in your home and backpack. Founder Packs
If you want to play Disney Dreamlight Valley during the current early access period, you will need to purchase one of the Founders’ Packs. multiplayer
There aren’t any Disney Dreamlight Valley multiplayer games in the game at the moment, but it’s something Gameloft’s developers are planning. Don’t expect multiplayer to launch anytime soon as it looks like it’ll be added to the game in 2023 at the earliest, but we’re looking forward to trying it out when it does!
Royal Vehicles
One of the first missions you have to complete involves getting all the Disney Dreamlight Valley Royal Tools. These essential items are scattered around the plaza starting area, you’ll need to do some research to get them. If you’re having trouble looking for them or want to speed up this quest to get to the rest of the game. Our guide will help you.
Ratatouille recipe
If you’re visiting Remy in his Realm, you’ll need to create the Disney Dreamlight Valley ratatouille recipe to complete the quest and impress Remy. Since Remy annoyingly only gives tips on what ingredients a ratatouille dish needs, if you get stuck at this step, use our guide and leave you to toss in the pot and hope for the best.

In Mickey Mouse’s quest to get Minnie back, he will task you with preparing a nice picnic dinner, which means you need to know how to make the Disney Dreamlight Valley crudites recipe. Fortunately, it’s very easy, although somewhat specific, but our guide has all the details.
find seaweed
Disney Dreamlight Valley seaweed pops up in all sorts of quests because you usually have to get it to make fiber – sometimes you need to turn that fiber into rope! It’s also used in a number of recipes, but you can’t go overboard to get it and have to use your fishing rod instead.
Mystical Cave puzzles
After unlocking Dazzle Beach and taking on the ‘With Great Power…’ quest, you’ll have to meet Ursula and eventually enter a cave to solve three Disney Dreamlight Valley Mystical Cave puzzles. These puzzles aren’t particularly difficult to solve, but they do get you a few different objects that you don’t know how to get, so this guide will speed things up for you.
Find Emerald
There are several missions that require you to acquire Disney Dreamlight Valley Emeralds to craft magic objects. Mickey will ask you for one as part of the ‘Memory Growth’ quest and Kristoff will request two for the ‘Lost in the Dark Grove’ quest to rescue Donald Duck. Unfortunately, Emeralds are quite rare, so we’ve put together a farming guide to help you get the gems you need fast.
