An Xbox Series X without a disk drive is on the way

As rumors of a Nintendo Switch 2 launch in 2024 have proliferated in recent weeks, Microsoft may be the next manufacturer to add new hardware to its offering.

Indeed, an insider claims that several internal sources admitted to him that the Redmond firm is currently working on a new version of the Xbox Series X. More specifically, this new model will be 100% digital. In other words, the console would be deprived of a disk drive.

As you know, the Xbox Series generation currently consists of two machines: the Xbox Series X and the Xbox Series S, a less powerful console dedicated specifically to a digital experience (without a disc drive).
