Dying Light 2 Juan choices see you decide to accept a drink, work with him, or hang out with Matt, and the choice isn’t easy. Juan is frankly a slick (and particularly unpleasant) salesman, but clearly connected and can work well as a business partner. We’ll list all of Dying Light 2 Juan’s options below, including what to say, whether to drink and whether you want to work with him instead of Jack Matt.

Ask Juan for Help, Threaten Juan, or Convince Juan that he is worth trusting you

The first major choice will be a conversation with Juan where you have to convince him to work with you and you can ask for help, threaten him or play for his business interests. In reality, it’s not a choice – whatever you choose, you’re still doing the same task, so there’s some bias before making the game. Feel free to answer as you please, he will ask you to try again until he gets bored and finishes speaking. This leads to the same quest to vacate an art dealer’s apartment, and it won’t change based on what you say.

Should you refuse or drink with Juan in Dying Light 2?

After raiding the circle and returning with a nice joke to win Juan over, he seems ready to hear your offer and even offers you a cup to celebrate your future job prospects. Here you can choose to refuse or drink Juan’s drink, and again, it’s not a meaningful choice. Rejecting may sound like it would offend him—it’s an expensive drink, after all—but if you do, he’ll make a comment that it’s wise not to mix business and romance. Accept and have your drink and then continue the negotiations in the same way. Again, choose whatever suits the situation and your interpretation of Aiden, because it doesn’t matter.

Should you help Juan or be loyal to Matt in Dying Light 2?

That makes more sense – there’s a tension ratchet timer and that fairy-tale little divided road symbol. And yes, it’s the choice that changes things – namely what task you do next.

Choose to stick with Matt and the job goes on – Juan starts a quest called Lost Light, telling you you need to find a man named Demoulin who has the UV lamps you need. This is a fairly short quest that lets you track down Demoulin, find out the location of the lamps, and follow him through the city to the top of a building, battling a few special infected and other enemies along the way.

Choose to help Juan and he’ll ask you to make a connection on a mission called the Cathedral, hunting down a former GRE scientist with eavesdropping technology knowledge to spy on Matt. This mission is a little longer with a big boss fight in it, contains a lot of climbing and stealth, and is probably the better mission of the two in terms of pure gameplay.

These are meaningful changes, but as we understand by comparing flowcharts, only in the short run – after a while these two paths will reconnect because they both lead you to the same information.
