The team can get results and fight for the title in the next three years, and the players and the new coach deserve the support of United fans.

“From what I can see it looks like they’re going to give him some time. I’m sure they’ll let him rebuild the squad because that has to happen.. I I think fans need to be a little patient because it won’t change overnight or as fast as you would like.” said Rooney.

“So they have to have some patience as they see the progression and the players who are working and playing for the jersey maybe in the next three years they can fight for the championship. I think United fans need to be realistic about this and I’m sure the club hopes for that too. I think today is positive news for Manchester United fans.”the 36-year-old added.
