Will “The Batman” have Paul Dano as “The Riddler” again?

Paul Dano is currently releasing his next comic called “Riddler: Year One” which focuses on Edward Nashton for “The Batman”. Paul Dano has appeared to be interested in returning to “The Batman” series as Edward Nashton/The Riddler. The actor played the DC Comics villain in Matt Reeves’ iconic film, and his performance was highly praised.

The way Dano interpreted the character generated many discussions about his unique way of approaching the comic book villain, generating allegorical interpretations of his psychological condition.

Because of his connection to the character, he decided to write an entire comic book series that focuses on Nashton’s origins. While Dano is promoting the next issue of “Riddler: Year One,” he is also considering the possibility of reprising the role of Edward Nashton in a sequel.ive-action from “The Batman”.

During his interview with ComicBook.com , Dano spoke at length about his relationship with the character The Riddler and also spoke about how he approached his story while writing “Riddler: One.” When asked about his position on bringing this iconic character back to life, he said:

“Well, if they wanted there to be one, I would probably be there.”

Although the actor says he never thought much about it, he ended up being surprised that he continued to dedicate so much effort to opening up this character’s story to the public through comics.

In his words:

“I didn’t really think about it that much, and I find it interesting that somehow I spent even more time with this character because someone from the press asked me when we were doing Batman if I had taken anything home from the set. I said no, I said I was like the character himself, so I didn’t need anything from him in my house, I said that jokingly. And so here I am, having spent two years on and off, writing this comic. And it really felt right for the medium of comics because it’s such a great way to explore internal monologues.”

Dano also admitted that he had explored the character even further by writing for the comics. But that precisely because of that, after having dedicated so much of his time and effort to understanding the character’s history, he could turn his attention to the character in the future, if he had the opportunity. Paul also stated that his comic series would have been derived from his interpretation in “The Batman”.
