It’s been almost five months since the release of ‘The Boy and the Heron‘, which took place on July 14th of this year. The film was so successful that, now, Studio Ghibli has prepared an experience full of products inspired by this exciting story.
The official collection of merchandise related to the film hit the shelves on December 8th and offers a spectacular variety of items for all lovers of the film. Studio Ghibli.
‘The Boy and the Crane’ Gets Collectible Merchandise in Japan
The first product is the Grey Heron plush. Priced at 5,060 yen (about $168), this meticulously detailed plush, measuring 11 centimeters tall, 21 centimeters wide and 42 centimeters deep, looks so vivid that it feels like it’s about to come to life.

Following the plush line, there is the Heron Man, designed to radiate cuteness with a friendly smile.
Measuring 15 centimeters tall, 17 centimeters wide and 13 centimeters deep, this plush toy is available for 4,400 yen (about $140).

The collection continues with the Warawara line, which offers five figure options sold for 2,090 yen (about R$69) each.
These charming little characters, approximately 12 to 14 centimeters tall, are a delight for fans.

Warawara lovers will also find enjoyment in Nosechara, a box containing 10 different Warawara for 3,080 yen (about $102), providing a interactive game in which the objective is to stack the characters without knocking them down.

For puzzle fans, there are mini and large options, with 150 and 1,000 pieces, respectively, available for 660 yen (about $21) and 3,080 yen (about $102).

An adorable parakeet collection, dubbed ‘Tanoshiku Yura Yura Oki Agari Kobashi’, features pairs of figures with rounded bottoms, selling for 2,640 yen (about $87).

Those who prefer parakeets can find the ‘Un, Un, Unazuku – Kubi Furi Mascot’ for 2,200 yen (about $73).

The collection also features seven maids, including a trio of Warawara, for 5,500 yen (about $40), and is notable for its initial hand-crafted creation by Yoshie Hayashi, an animator at Studio Ghibli since 2009.

With three more detailed statues, the most expensive items in the collection cost 19,800 yen each (about $659), and capture the essence of the characters with sculptures that are 17 to 20 centimeters tall.

With over 30 items in the collection, it’s a challenge to fit them all in one place, but there’s certainly something for everyone in the charming new line of ‘The Boy and the Crane’ inspired products from Studio Ghibli.
