Movies and series have significant power over our emotions. It is completely possible to cry and smile with the plot, feeling all the joys and pains experienced by the characters.
In this sense, there are people who limit themselves to these fleeting feelings, but there are also those who go beyond any limit of normality.
This is the case of a 19-year-old killer who was inspired by ‘Breaking Bad‘ to dispose of the victim’s body.
During his testimony about a murder in the United States, killer George Knights confessed to having been inspired by the series to dissolve the victim’s body.
He revealed that the idea of dissolving the victim’s body with sulfuric acid was taken from an episode in the first season of the series, in which the characters Walter White (Bryan Cranston) and Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul) use the same substance after a succession of crimes.

The series has earned its place as one of the biggest phenomenons on American television. The story revolves around Walter White, played by Bryan Cranston, a high school teacher. Chemical whose life is abruptly transformed.
Upon being diagnosed with a rare cancer, Walter decides to invest all his expectations in the world of methamphetamine trafficking to finance his treatment, taking advantage of his chemical knowledge as a teacher.
His companion on this unusual journey is Jesse Pinkman, played by Aaron Paul, a drug addict and common criminal who walk side by side in the criminal enterprise.
Crime was inspired by ‘Breaking Bad’
The crime took place when George Knights invited drug dealer Stephen Chapman, 38, to his home for an alleged cocaine transaction.
An argument between them escalated to violence, resulting in Knights driving a blade into the victim’s skull.
Furthermore, the killer admitted to stabbing Chapman’s body with a 16-centimeter blade and disposing of the weapon in a trash can.
Inspired by the method used by the characters in the renowned series, Knights carried out research in Internet to learn how to dissolve a body with sulfuric acid.
After discovering the process, he poured the corrosive substance to eliminate any incriminating evidence related to the case. He claims he was not thinking clearly during the execution of the crime.
The identification of Chapman’s body occurred two days after the incident, when photos of the body were found on Knights’ cell phone, which had been discarded in the trash.
As a result, the court U.S found the 19-year-old guilty of the crime, and the sentence will be determined by September. The murder occurred on October 23, 2020.
