When asked about the possibility of involving the cast in the tribute, Jeannae Rouzan-Clay, executive producer of the event, told The Hollywood Reporter that the pain of the loss is still very recent for them.

Jesse Collins, who played the role of executive producer, acknowledged that although the possibility of reuniting the actors was considered from the beginning, they chose to respect the fact that they are like a family.

“We talked about it from the beginning — but I can imagine, from their side, that they are still grieving someone who was very close to them. I can’t speak for them, but we all have to respect that they are like family. It’s probably a little too soon,” Collins said.
