Even Batman agrees: Nightwing is DC’s most important hero

The character Bruce, better known as Batmantells Nightwing that the former Boy Wonder is the most important person to run the DC Universe in the near future of “Dark Crisis on Infinite Earths 7”.

Bruce’s words to Nightwing appear only at the end of the issue; meanwhile, the superhero community recovers after their battle with Pariah and renews their strength, which has been corrupted by the supernatural Great Darkness.

Soon after Dick Grayson (Nightwing) explains that he always kept with him the candle that Bruce lit when the two made an oath to fight all crime, just like Batman and Robin did years ago, he reveals that this was a hope for him.

Bruce disagrees: “That candle, for me, was never the light in the dark,” Batman says. “You were. In fact, heroes don’t need candles, and certainly don’t need speeches. They just need the throughline that unites us all.”

Batman further explains that the Justice League is taking a break after the events of “Dark Crisis on Infinite Earths” and tells Dick that he hopes he will play a fantastic role in changing the superhero team from now on.

The character Dick reveals that he already has “some ideas” for this.

Nightwing’s Role in ‘Dark Crisis’

“Dawn of the DC Universe” teased a more advanced role for Dick Grayson and the Titans as well, as much of Dark Crisis on Infinite Earths focused on Nightwing’s persistent optimism and great perseverance in the face of the dangerous mind-altering possibilities of the Great Darkness.

Nightwing has long been considered a symbol of hope for the near future in DC Comics. With that, his fame as one of DC’s most significant characters has proven that he is truly special.

In “Dark Crisis on Infinite Earths #1”, even Black Adam was forced to agree that Nightwing would definitely be the perfect person to lead a “new-look” Justice League.

And, with Batman’s support, everything indicates that the first Boy Wonder will have this big chance soon!
