A DC Comics surprises its fans by bringing to light, from the depths of the chest, an enemy in the recent title ‘Fire & Ice: Welcome to Smallville #5’.
In this new plot, the protagonists are two well-known heroines, Fire and Ice, who face a great villain, the dreaded cancellation, due to several failed missions.
Therefore, they seek refuge in Smallville, as Superman showed solidarity with the situation and decided to temporarily hide them to recover their images.
An ancient enemy resurfaces
However, within this challenging context, one of DC Comics’ old classic villains resurfaces: Kooey Kooey Kooey — an island in the South Pacific, who decided to live on his own by uprooting himself.
In times past, the same island served as a refuge for several villains, but now it appears as an unexpected threat.
The story, masterfully developed by Joanne Starer and Natacha Bustos, reveals that Kooey Kooey Kooey arrives in Smallville with the aim of capturing Rocky, an ally of Fire and Ice.
Its presence brings additional danger, as the entity seeks not only to confront the heroines, but also to perform acts of terraforming.
The villainous island tries to modify atmospheric conditions and alter both the pressure and toxic gases in the region, with the aim of developing and sheltering new forms of life.
The plot involves a race against time, as Fire, Ice and their allies try to stop Kooey Kooey Kooey’s nefarious plans.
While Smallville becomes the epicenter of this confrontation, the city finds itself facing challenges that go beyond the heroines’ conventional abilities.
