Mobvoi decides to launch a device based on the Google Assistant that has a lot in common with the search giant’s miniature connected speaker. However, a few points stand out.
TicHome Mini: A battery-powered and splash-proof Google Home Mini
The device measures 110 mm in diameter, 43 mm in height and weighs 276 grams. 2600mAh battery It gives an estimated battery life of 6 hours according to the manufacturer. It includes four small indicator lights, as well as four buttons for volume control, microphone activation, and power. The icing on the cake is that the device is splash-proof (IPX6 – splash-proof), just like a Google Home we tested. The device is slightly more expensive than a Google Home Mini, which retails for 59 euros in France. The TicHome Mini, which can be pre-ordered at $79 for 72 hours on the manufacturer’s website, will then be available for $99. According to the manufacturer, 4 languages are supported: French, English, Chinese and Japanese. The product is available in white, black, blue and pink colors. It’s clear that the nomadic side is the TicHome Mini’s main selling point.
