Sony has released a new firmware update for SmartWatch 2 to enable wallpaper customization. The update also brings new languages.
The world of smartwatches is more active than ever before. Although the market will not be taken, manufacturers are restless. Samsung may dominate for nowThe majority of potential customers have yet to choose their camp, and being an industry first, it’s time for Sony, Samsung and Motorola to impose themselves, especially since Apple isn’t in the game yet.
In this context, every detail is important and personalization is one of them. So, sony’s latest update that passed firmware from 1.0.B.5.28/1.0.A.4.11 is heading in that direction. You can download it from google play on your android phone.
Whether this detail is sufficient remains to be seen. Sony should be active to improve the watch that is in front of it. Strong competitors like LG G Watch and Samsung Gear LiveThe Moto 360 feels very powerful, especially in terms of customization. What is surprising is that the watch was released almost a year ago and features like NFC without being able to enjoy a basic setting like the bottom screen.
It’s hard to imagine Sony not considering this, but then what’s the point? Want to delay the update to keep it under the elbow? The idea would be surprising if such an update wasn’t really big. We’d rather tell ourselves it’s just a matter of keeping us waiting until a SmartWatch 3 is announced.
Meanwhile, will customers still be the only judges on the importance of this latest update? Is customizing the wallpaper a game changer for you?
