Pixel Watch: A video casts doubt on the screen size of Google’s connected watch

Last week, Google announced the design of its first connected watch in a video on YouTube. Many customers seem to be looking forward to this “premium” watch. We know from the Pixel Watch that its price should be between €350 for the Wifi-only version and €400 for the cellular + Wifi version. Fans of connected watches will have noticed that Google will charge the same amount for the Pixel Watch as the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5, despite the sometimes outdated components. The presentation on October 6 will need to be very convincing if Google wants to have even the slightest chance of selling its smartwatch, because price carries more weight than ever when choosing a connected gadget, no matter how sleek it is.

Google’s long-awaited watch will run Wear OS, an operating system that’s still missing some key features. Google called its event on October 6 “It all comes together” and the company’s combine hardware offerings and operating systems in a coherent ecosystem.
