The firm wants to bring the internet to everyone through light, and is first considering hospitals and companies where radio waves can interact with sensitive devices.

Products using LiFi technology have been demonstrated several times in the past. This technology makes it possible to transmit data by light at speeds 10 times faster than WiFi and with much more stability. For now, the first commercial LiFi products are almost non-existent for the simple reason. specifications of the standard not yet defined. Therefore, almost no everyday device manufacturer (smartphones, tablets, computers or TVs) offers compatible chips. So it is necessary to go through an adapter to get Li-Fi for the moment.
However, some companies are currently offering solutions using technology that is not very accessible. To this end, Signify primarily targets professionals and businesses that might be interested in their products. Especially for offices, hospitals, hotels and airlines (Li-Fi on airplanes) etc. we think. Democratization of this technology is expected, which should begin in 2021, the year when the features of the standard are expected.
