Loop VR, like last year, was made available for free by OnePlus to allow people to join the VR presentation of the OnePlus 3 at the Loop station imagined for the occasion. . Although the headset was free, you had to pay €6.90 for shipping, a really ridiculous price considering the quality of the headset.
This Loop VR is co-designed with ANTVR, a company specializing in virtual reality to deliver a true VR experience. Now let’s see what this headset can do together.
Great design and very good finishes
The first thing you notice with this helmet is their coating, they are really high quality, nothing to complain about there. It’s nothing to be ashamed of, even when compared to the Gear VR. OnePlus also had a good idea of allowing manual removal of the foam to be able to replace the foam, but especially clear.
In terms of design, everything is fine. As you can see, it’s a little closer to the Gear VR with straps on the sides and top to hold the head well, and you don’t feel much, despite being 366 grams in use. But OnePlus’ real good idea was the smartphone stabilization system. We will indeed come and slide the smartphone forward, then it will protected by silicone “cushions” This will hold the smartphone well while allowing it to move to position it correctly.
But in the end it’s just a cardboard without a button
Let’s say let’s start with the beginning of the helmet. The first thing you need to do is put on the strap that goes over the head and adjust it well, then adjust the straps on the sides so that the helmet stays in place without tightening you too much. Finally, it is also necessary adjust the distance between lensesthat’s a good point, because really not everyone’s eyes are the same distance apart.
Let’s move on to its use and this is where the experience is not necessarily very good. Originally, this helmet was probably intended only for the promotion of the OnePlus 3, but testing with other apps was necessary as the app won’t launch until 6:30pm tonight.
So I went through the VR apps in the Play Store and got the best rated ones, so they were mostly apps used with Google’s Cardboard. But the problem is, Cartons have a magnet that acts as a button to confirm certain actions, but in Loop VR we don’t have that, result some apps are not available Like Google’s Cardboard app.
Another negative point, but this one particularly worries me, no nasal foam and suddenly he touches the helmet and suppresses it, which quickly becomes unpleasant. But I had other people put the helmet on and they didn’t have this problem, so Zlatan couldn’t use it!

Solution
For the moment when the experience is mixed, it will be necessary to see if the helmet was used well during the OnePlus 3 presentation. By the way, we have a very nice and very well finished virtual reality headset, but it lacks features. But we must not forget that it is distributed by OnePlus for free, in the trade the same is easily found for 30 or 40 euros, that’s why we have an unbeatable price/quality ratio.
The thread will be updated after the OnePlus 3 presentation to let you know about my latest experience, because as mentioned earlier, this headset is there to have the best virtual reality experience during the presentation.
