Linky: The meter emits 20 times less waves than the limit values ​​prescribed by law.

The national frequency agency (ANFR) published the results of the measurement campaign it carried out in 2019 near Linky smart meters in its annual study on Thursday, May 14, 2020. between Data collected at 287 locations close to the device (20 cm), indoors and mainly in urban areas. Measurements were taken at users’ request, as required by the national system for monitoring public exposure to waves in the 9 kHz – 100 kHz band.

The measurements taken while sending data over the power line carrier (CPL) actually made it possible to observe once again two reassuring elements. Linky: These new measures confirm no health impact

So the shipments are final only between 0.1 and 0.2 seconds. Peak readings near the meter are therefore 3.7 V/m for the electric field and 0.25 µT for the magnetic field. While the legal limits are 87 V/m and 6.25 µT. This allows ANFR to say that the meter emits 20 times less waves at the peak than the regulatory thresholds.

Linky meters have quite a few detectors that sometimes accuse it of inflating electricity bills, starting fires or causing health problems.
