Cherries on the cake Verily’s shoes can also detect when the wearer has fallen.. Via smartphone, they can directly notify emergency services or an emergency number forwarded in the app. This function is mainly designed for elderly people whose balance is the most fragile. As a reminder, Apple has already equipped the Apple Watch Series 4 with an analog fall detection system.
