Google Home: compatible apps and devices

The Google Home has been on sale in France since August 3, 2017 for 149 euros, while the mini version we tested is only 59 euros. Both speakers have the same specs, but the classic Google Home offers superior sound quality. Voice assistants work with Google Assistant, Google’s artificial intelligence. And the good news is, Google will soon be able to manage several tasks at once in France, finally.

The principle of Google Home is simple. Depending on your environment and web, it will respond as much as possible to the requests you send: store opening hours, weather, turn on the light, turn up the volume of the television, etc. Compatible with many apps and devices. Turns out, Google’s smart speaker is full of resources. Let’s explore them together, remember we’re only talking about France, some features are currently only available in the United States or English speaking countries.

More and more Google Home compatible apps and devices

These are not apps per se, but services from third-party publishers from Google that are integrated directly into Google Home without the need to install anything. “Talk to”, not “Ok Google” to start them [nom du service souhaité]”. Now you will have to do it with the selected service and not with the Google Assistant.

Google Home isn’t giving us a sci-fi movie experience yet, but there’s no doubt that our homes will be increasingly connected. Artificial intelligence will evolve and equipment will become compatible. Not for tomorrow, but we are on the right track.
