Government decree introduces a new concept A SAR “member” with an exposure limit of 4W/kg against 2 W/kg for head and trunk. The new decree comes days after a report by the French health and safety agency warned of the harmful effects of exposure to waves from smartphones. ANFR and the Directorate General for Competition, Consumer Affairs and Fraud Prevention (DGCCRF) must ensure that brands comply with these regulations through regular checks. France also plans to take over the European Commission to strengthen the requirements that apply to new smartphones introduced to the EU market.
