Damian Wayne and Orion would make a great duo in DC Comics; Understand

It is known that the characters Orion and Damian have two fathers who are very famous in the DC Comics universe, Darkseid and Batman. In this sense, even though their fathers are completely different and are on opposite sides, Orion and Damian Wayne Robin ended up building a healthy relationship with each other.

However, with the arrival of the new “Robin” storyline, which begins with “Batman vs. Robin”, it has never been clearer why a team formed between Orion and Damian Wayne would bring out the most heroic aspects built into each character.

Thus, it is important to emphasize that Orion debuted in “Jack Kirby’s Fourth World Saga” as one of the New Gods, a group composed of the most powerful beings in the Universe who are found on two morally antagonistic planets, namely: the infernal Apokolips and the idyllic New Genesis.

Thus, in an effort to establish peace between the two planets, a trade was made in which a child from New Genesis, later revealed to be Mister Miracle, was traded in exchange for another child from Apokolips, Darkseid’s own son, Orion.

From this perspective, Orion ends up growing up in New Genesis, but his skills as a warrior and his anger always show him as a frivolous support.

However, as Orion possesses a great and almost unshakable morality, he was able to demonstrate that his Apokoliptian tendencies could be used for good if he fought against the evil within himself.

In view of this, this duality ends up having an echo in the character of Damian Wayne, as the biological son of Bruce Wayne and Talia al Ghul. In fact, “Batman and Robin #1”, by Mark Waid, Mahmud Asrar, Jordie Bellaire and Steve Wands, starts directly from this premise: “The boy, Robin, was born of two worlds”.

Taking this premise into consideration, just like Orion, Damian has great potential and good physical training to become a strong villain, and much of his character arc is structured around this idea.

In this sense, a team-up between Orion and Damian Wayne could give both characters the chance to get to know each other in each other’s shoes, thus helping them define themselves far removed from their parents’ identities. In reality, Orion’s story is the opposite of Demian’s.

There is nothing Orion wouldn’t do to kill his father. On the other hand, Damian feels that the Batman mantle is his birthright. In short, Orion and Damian would make a great duo together, a powerful duo, just like their parents, who are extremely strong.

“Batman vs. Robin #1″ made it clear that there is a path forward for Orion-like Damian Wayne and the conflict between good and evil.
