Without a doubt, Darth Vader is one of the greatest villains pop culture has ever produced.
The dark lord has become a reference for many other “evil” characters over time and has established himself as a synonym for antagonist in the most diverse media.
Now, what many people don’t know is that in the movie ‘Revenge of the Sith‘ from the famous ‘Star Wars’ franchise, a bug has finally been fixed.
It turns out that the iconic mask that the ex-Jedi uses to hide his deformed face was better than ever in this film.
Second George Lucasthe prop was designed to resemble a helmet similar to that used by ancient samurai warriors in Feudal Japan, which, incidentally, were also the inspiration for the creation of the Order of Jedi Knights.
What was the problem with Vader’s mask, anyway?

The character was first introduced to the public about 22 years ago, in 1977, with the title “A New Hope”.
In the work, we meet a young farmer named Luke Skywalker, whose greatest desire is to exchange the farm where he lives with his uncles for a life of adventure as a space pilot.
What our protagonist didn’t even suspect was that he was the son of the emperor’s right-hand man. Palpatinewho ruled the galaxy with an iron fist, having established years before an empire of an extremely authoritarian, repressive and dictatorial nature after overthrowing the old Republic.
Such a feat was only possible with the help of Anakin Skywalker, a Jedi who was corrupted by the dark side and who later became the father of Luke and his twin sister Leia.
So it didn’t take long for the villain was shown and, because of the armor he wears, his presence became simply intimidating.
However, the masks used at that time were not perfect. As we can see in “Revenge of the Sith”, his helmet was extremely asymmetrical back then.
At first, this detail is difficult to notice, but a closer look can identify a misalignment between the mask and the rest of the structure.
Furthermore, the brightness is another factor that does not remain consistent in the first three films. Thus, the most recent version we are talking about has removed all the imperfections and given a more consistent appearance to our “favorite villain”.
Ultimately, despite these errors, there may be an explanation for them within the universe of the saga. Darth Vader He used to fight many battles and, consequently, his suit suffered several damages and needed constant repairs.
In one comic, the Emperor even offers a more modern and updated version of the armor, which is refused by the villain.
