Netflix makes documentary about Luísa Sonza; understand the reasons

Attention fans of the singer Luisa Sonza! On December 13th (Tuesday), a documentary about the artist’s life, called ‘Se Eu Fosse Luísa Sonza’, was made available on Netflix.

The production is a documentary series and features the participation of friends, family and work colleagues of the celebrity.

In fact, the girl’s ex-husband, YouTuber and comedian Whindersson Nunes, appears in one episode, which reignites some past controversies.

This news made many people question the singer’s relevance to be considered for an attraction of this size on the famous streaming platform.

However, the reasons for this are no secret. Sonza is a powerhouse of Brazilian pop, and the constant unusual situations in which her name is involved only make her popularity in the media increase.

Currently, the 25-year-old artist has broken records on Spotify, boasting the mark of 15.6 million plays in 24 hours.

However, there is another reason why she is such a talked about person, which is expressed in the documentary’s synopsis.

In short, Luísa is known as the most controversial pop singer in the country. This title was given to the young woman after a series of news stories, both good and bad, of which she was the center of attention in recent times.

A Troubled Celebrity

Another much-talked-about controversy concerns an accusation of racism that occurred in 2020. In that episode, the blonde was sued by lawyer Isabel Macedo, due to an event from two years ago.

The incident occurred when Sonza and Isabel were staying at the same inn located in Fernando de Noronha, the singer had mistaken the professional for an employee of the establishment.

However, when she discovered the mistake, she was extremely surprised and this led the lawyer to understand that the confusion was due to her color.

This finding led Isabel to take the decision to go to court in search of compensation for moral damages, plus a public retraction.

The case ended in August 2023 and Luísa continued to deny the accusations. But unfortunately, the comments on the matter remain negative regarding the celebrity’s image to date.

More recently, Luísa’s name has been in the media again, and the reasons for this are curious. In a show performed by Sonza in João Pessoa, in the state of Paraíba, it is possible to see through images a large empty space in the audience, this indicates that there were few people at the event.

Finally, this gained even more strength due to the subsequent cancellation of a presentation that was to take place in Campina Grande, a city neighbor, due to low ticket sales that did not reach the minimum required.
