Elon Musk He is a person known for not speaking out, which constantly puts him at the center of several controversies.
One of the last occurred when the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX revealed that it could be interested in buying none other than Disney.
The incident occurred during the red carpet, at the premiere event for the film ‘Lola’, co-directed by American actress Nicola Peltz.
At the time, Musk mentioned that he was considering the next companies he should acquire.
Remembering that, during the gala night, the South African businessman was close to Nelson Peltz, a well-known and respected investor who is even in conflict with Bob Igerthe current CEO of Disney and former enemy of Elon.

Due to the fact mentioned above, Elon Musk was questioned by the press about what he was doing at the event.
To this, the billionaire responded with good humor, claiming that he was just there to accompany friends and think about ‘which organizations he should buy’.
As for Nelson Peltz, the management of Disney is leading the company to disaster, and the entrepreneur claims that significant changes need to be made to the board.
He argues that this should be done through a campaign entitled ‘Restore the Magic’ (‘Restore the magic’, in Portuguese), in a clear attempt to take the place of the current administration.
Why have Iger and Musk been exchanging barbs?
The rivalry between Iger and Musk began when Walt Disney Company removed all his ads from X (formerly Twitter) after the tycoon made some anti-Semitic statements, that is, prejudiced against Jews.
More recently, in December last year (2023), the fight took a different turn, when the Tesla owner wrote a post stating that the rival should be fired immediately.
Based on this, the CEO’s desire to buy Disney may just be a joke if we consider the context and place where the speech took place.
Therefore, it is impossible to determine whether there really are serious intentions to make an offer for a corporation the size of Disney or whether Elon just took the opportunity to ‘need’ Bob Iger.
Trading barbs aside, it is undeniable that money for an operation of this size would not be a problem for someone like Musk.
