‘Riot Forge’, responsible for developing the ‘A League of Legends Story’ series, will be discontinued after the imminent release of ‘Bandle Tale: A League of Legends Story’.
The company describes Forge as an experiment that explored collaboration between Rioters and independent developers, resulting in six distinct titles. However, Riot chose to redirect efforts to more ambitious internal projects.
Despite these changes, Riot Games remains optimistic about the future, highlighting the importance of its brands across different entertainment platforms.
Projects such as ‘Arcane’, the band K/DA and the long-awaited ‘Project L’, a fighting game with characters from ‘League of Legends’, are mentioned as initiatives that will take their brands beyond the gaming universe.
The company emphasizes its commitment to quality, impact and unified experiences for players around the world.
Additionally, it promises to share more details about ‘Project L’, which is progressing positively, and other exciting titles in the pipeline.
