Galaxy Watch 6 and 6 Classic: full technical sheets revealed a few days before launch

While yesterday learning about the different sizes of Samsung’s next Galaxy Watch 6 and 6 Pro models, famous leaker @_snoopytech_ has finally lifted the veil over the entire technical data sheet of linked watches. The program includes larger screens, a new processor, as well as batteries with increased capacity.

First, the leak confirms The arrival of the Exynos W930, a brand new processor, it will replace the old Exynos W920 which has been used for several generations. It should be a minor improvement over the old version, but this new generation brings a small increase in compatibility and possibly performance with Bluetooth 5.3.

Galaxy Watch 6 and 6 Pro deserve big improvements

According to the whitepaper announced by SnoopyTech, the Galaxy Watch 6 and 6 Classic will benefit from larger screens than previous models. Indeed, the Galaxy Watch 6 will now use 1.31 inch screen in 40mm version and 1.47 inch screen in 44mm version. So that’s more than the previous 1.2 and 1.4 inches, respectively. That’s why Samsung has significantly reduced the black borders around the screens.

On the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic side, we will qualify for a 1.31-inch AMOLED 432 x 432 pixel display in the 43mm version and a 1.47-inch AMOLED 480 x 480 pixel display in the massive 47mm version. These increases are clearly accompanied by larger batteries.

Galaxy Watch 6 now has 300mAh and 425mAh batteries, compared to the previous 284 mAh and 410 mAh. However, we shouldn’t see an increase in autonomy as larger screens will consume more energy. Galaxy Watch 6 Classic will also use 300mAh and 425mAh batteries.

Finally, notice the appearance of a new “temperature” sensor that will likely replace your thermometer. There is also a sensor that measures the exact calories you burn. We’ll find out more at Samsung’s Unpacked conference next week.
