“I hope I can experience this before I die,” Casper Ruud said desperately for Norway’s qualifying for the FIFA World Cup.

The topic that is currently being discussed in the sports community is: FIFA World Cup, It’s doing well in Qatar. Only 32 countries managed to participate in the event and few good football countries missed the World Cup. Norway also failed to qualify for the mega event for the sixth time in a row. His last appearances came at the 1998 FIFA World Cup, something Norwegian tennis star Casper Ruud touched on.

Casper Ruud is currently competing on the Latin American Exhibition tour, which also includes Rafael Nadal. At one of his press conferences, he was asked about Norway’s absence from the FIFA World Cup.

The tennis star was quite frank in her analysis of her country’s absence from the event. He stated that Norway has two good players, Erling Haaland and Martin Odegaard, but lacks quality in other positions.

Norway has a fairly young squad that is not rich in experience playing on the International stage. Manchester City striker Erling Haaland is definitely a must-have presence with Martin Odegaard right behind the talisman.

Casper Ruud explains that he wants to experience the excitement of the World Cup at least once in his life. Desperate for Norway to qualify for the event in the future.

“Norway has a young team of Haaland and Ødegaard… but all nine players need to play well… We haven’t been in the World Cup since 1998, the year I was born, so I’ve never experienced it. At least before I die. I hope I can achieve that.” said Casper Ruud.

Casper Ruud had a groundbreaking year on tour in 2022. The Norwegian star finished second at the French Open and the US Open. He also finished second behind Novak Djokovic. Nitto ATP Finals just a few weeks ago.
