The Team Go Rocket Takeover event has kicked off, and trainers will be seeing the evil team all over Pokemon Go for a limited time. happens during Pokemon Go Greedy Gluttons eventThe Team Go Rocket Takeover gives trainers multiple chances to battle grunts, leaders, and even big boss Giovanni. Fighting and defeating these grunts will reward trainers with encounters with powerful Shadow Pokemon, while some of these grunts will have never-before-seen Shadow Pokemon.

Pokemon GO Team Rocket Takeover Start Time

The Team Go Rocket takeover event will begin at 12:00 on Monday, November 14th at 8:00pm local time on Thursday, November 17th.

How to catch Shiny Pawniard in Pokemon Go

While the wild encounters and Raid Pokemon will be the same as those spawned during the Greedy Gluttons event, trainers will be able to spawn some special Dark and Poison type Pokemon from 12km Eggs. Including Shiny Pledge for the first time.

These 12km Eggs can only be obtained by defeating a Team Go Rocket Leader. And while these Eggs may take a while to hatch, they do contain some rare Pokemon that trainers won’t find anywhere else, including Pawniard.

Now, there is no easy way to get this Shiny Pawniard. Trainers will have to hatch the 12km Eggs they get during the event. Trainers will want to stock up on as many eggs as possible, so once the event is over, these Eggs will have a higher than normal chance of becoming a Shiny Pawn.

Trainers can also purchase more Incubators from the in-game store. For the Regular Incubator, trainers can pay 150 PokeCoins. For 200 PokeCoins, they can get a Super Incubator that halves the crawl distance.

Team Go Rocket Takeover Field Research

During the event, there will be a Field Research quest that trainers can take at PokeStops. By defeating two Team Go Rocket Grunts, trainers will receive a Mystery Component that helps players engage in a battle against the Rocket Leaders.

A special research story will also appear when the event starts. Complete the quests below to earn items, experience, and easier ways to defeat Giovanni as well as Rocket Leaders.

New Shadow Pokemon and Rocket Leader Teams

Team Go Rocket broke new Pokemon to become Shadow Pokemon. Additionally, Rocket Leaders have brand new teams that allow trainers to catch some different Pokemon. It should be noted that the first Pokemon that the Leaders will send will be the ones that trainers can catch and save.

In the case of Giovanni, trainers will be able to catch a Shadow Mewtwo.
