Talking about it, he said, “Right now the beauty standard is more inclusive, which is great. But there is also a lot of pressure. 20, 30 years ago the beauty standard was to be as thin as possible. It has now shifted more to being as curvy as possible. Now, there is unrealistic pressure to somehow conform to this standard.“

“Both standards were unrealistic, but I’m glad it’s more inclusive at this point. It’s about knowing yourself, you just have to know yourself, be comfortable with you, accept you, if that also means growing up then it’s okay to accept yourself.”

“We need to both work and raise awareness to close these gaps. Most people don’t get up in the morning and look in the mirror and say, ‘God, blah blah gets less paid than that. It is important to change these mindsets at all levels, whether employee or leadership.“
