How to Block a YouTube Channel from Commenting on Your Videos
If you’re constantly bothered by a YouTube channel posting comments on your videos, you can easily block them. YouTube includes a feature that prevents a user or a channel from commenting on your videos, and it’s really pretty simple.
note: This only prevents a YouTube channel (or a user) from commenting on your videos. Their videos may still appear on your homepage.
1. How to Block a YouTube Channel in Chrome
To prevent a YouTube channel (or user) from commenting on your videos, simply follow these steps:
- on YouTube, search channel (or user) the person you want to block from commenting on your videos. Open your channels, click “About”, and then click the “flag” button.
- Here, “Block user“.
- In the pop-up box that opens, click on it. “To send”.
The YouTube channel (or user) you just blocked will no longer be able to comment on your videos. However, you can still see their videos in your recommendations. Let’s see how to completely block a YouTube channel in the next section.

- Go to YouTube and search for the channel you want to block.

How to Block Multiple YouTube Channels
If there are many YouTube channels you want to block and you don’t want to take action on each one, you can create a JSON file and import it into Video Blocker. For example, if I wanted to block channels named “Channel One”, “Channel Second” and “Channel Third”, here are the steps I would have to follow:
- Open your Favorite Text Editor. I prefer to use Sublime Text on Mac. Create a new file and add all YouTube channels you want to block in the following format:
[{“key”:”channelname”,”type”:”channel”},{“key”:”channelname”,”type”:”channel”}, {“key”:”channelname”, “type”:channel”}] So, in my case the JSON file will read:
[{“key”:”Channel One”, “type”:”channel”}, {“key”:”Channel Two”, “type”:”channel”}, {“key”:”Channel Three”, “type”:”channel”}]
- Save the file with the extension “.json”.
- At that time, Click on the Video Blocker icon in Chrome and “Import” tab.
- Find the JSON file you created here, select it and click on it. “Open”.
- Channels will be added to Video Blocker automatically.
How to Unblock a YouTube Channel
If you have blocked a YouTube channel using the “Video Blocker” Chrome extension and want to unblock it, simply follow these steps:
- Click “Video Blocker” icon in Chrome. You will be able to see all the channels you have blocked.
- Click on the next red cross the channels you want to unblock.
- The channel will be unblocked and you will be able to see their videos again. However, you will need to Reload YouTube websitefor the changes to appear.
Channels you have removed from “Video Blocker” will now be unblocked on YouTube and their videos will be available to you again.

Easily Block YouTube Channels You Don’t Like
