Figuring out how to upgrade your house and get more storage space in Disney Dreamlight Valley is one of the first mysteries you’ll encounter in the game. After all, you will make a collection share You’ll want to squirrel out of game items in case Mickey and his friends need them later.
How to unlock Disney Dreamlight Valley fast travel and browse faster
While it is simple (but expensive) to increase the size of your magical pockets using the ‘expand’ button, it takes a bit more work and Scrooge McDuck to make an upgrade for your home.
Scrooge McDuck is one of the first NPCs you can access in Disney Dreamlight Valley, which is good news because the key to upgrading your house is to mark a few of his quests. After setting up his shop as part of Scrooge McDuck’s Grand Reopening, you will receive a quest called. Valley Economy 101. It’s fast and requires selling Goofy seven items at its counter.
After that, go back to Scrooge and he will tell you that he has installed an elevator in your house that will allow you to elevate the inside of your house. The elevator appears just inside and to the left of your home’s front door, allowing you to expand your main space as well as expand it into additional rooms.
- First main room expansion: 1000 coins
- Second main room expansion: 2000 coins for second room expansion
- Additional rooms: 3000 coins for 10×10, 2000 coins for 8×8, 1000 coins for 6×6
If you wish, you can add three more rooms to your first floor.
How to get more storage in Disney Dreamlight Valley
You may need to hide some items to solve the Mystic Cave puzzles in Disney Dreamlight Valley later.
Once you’ve upgraded the interior, the next time you return home, Scrooge will have erected a builder’s sign on the outside of your house. This allows you to upgrade your home’s exterior and also expand storage capacity from every chest you build. You can build as many chests as you want, but they will initially only have one row of storage capacity. This is enhanced by upgrading the exterior of your home. So far, we have managed to unlock the second stage of the exterior upgrade, which also unlocks the second floor of your home.
- First external upgrade: 2000 coins (additional storage row unlocked)
- Second external upgrade: 20,000 coins (third and fourth storage row unlocked)
- Third external upgrade: 75,000 (storage upgrade level unknown)
