After the Galaxy Tab S6 tablet a few days ago and waiting for the Galaxy Note 10, Samsung officially launched the Galaxy Watch Active 2 on August 5, 2019, six months after the first model. The connected watch naturally includes some improvements over the old model. The first is the integration of the One UI interface found on the brand’s smartphones from Galaxy S10 to OS Tyzen. he makes a promise “Simple, clear and natural user experience for navigation”. The latter is also facilitated by a new dial, some of which touch borders allow menus to be scrolled.
Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2: two sizes, One UI coming
Various models of the connected watch are available. Consumers can first choose between two sizes: 44 mm and 40 mm. The first offers a 1.4-inch 360 x 360 pixel Super AMOLED display and a 340 mAh battery. The smallest offers a 1.2-inch panel and a battery with a capacity of 247 mAh. On the performance side, there is the Exynos 9110 Dual-core 1.15 GHz chip. Galaxy Watch Active 2 is then available in two versions: Bluetooth 5.0 or LTE.

The connected watch will be released in the United States in September 2019. It is not yet known whether the same will happen in Europe. For the time being, Samsung has only formalized prices in dollars for the United States, but German site AllAboutSamsung has published prices in euros for the old continent:
- Galaxy Watch Active 2 Aluminum 40mm: 299 euros
- Galaxy Watch Active 2 Aluminum 44mm: 319 euros
- Galaxy Watch Active 2 Stainless Steel 40mm: 399 euros
- Galaxy Watch Active 2 Stainless Steel 44mm: 419 euros
- Galaxy Watch Active 2 Stainless Steel 40mm LTE: 449 euros
- Galaxy Watch Active 2 Stainless Steel 44mm LTE: 469 euros
